The State Investigating Agency (SIA) on Saturday sealed a property associated with Jamaat e Islami, a socio-political organization, in the Zablipora area of south Kashmir's Anantnag district. Locals news reports said that SIA has "discovered" more Jamaat-e-Islami properties in South Kashmir’s Anantnag. Extreme cold conditions continue in Kashmir valley

People in Srinagar woke up to a freezing and misty morning as the minimum temperature continued to hover below sub-zero in Kashmir Valley on Saturday. A Meteorological Department official told a local news agency, Global News Service (GNS), that Srinagar witnessed mist this morning and recorded a low of minus 1.0°C against minus 1.4°C on the previous night. The temperature was 1.1°C below normal during this time of the year for the capital city so far, he said. Total increase of 772872 electors in the final electoral roll in JK, says election commission

Jammu Kashmir has registered an increase of 7,72,872 voters during the special summary revision exercise conducted by the Election Commission of India this year, Jammu Kashmir’s joint chief electoral officer Anil Salgotra said on Friday. The Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh High Court on Wednesday ruled that mere registration of an FIR or pendency of investigation by the Investigating Agency is no ground to refuse issue or renewal of passport under the Passport Act 1967, Live Law reported. Winter vacations announced in Kashmir valley

The Jammu Kashmir admin announced winter vacations for the Kashmir division in a three phased manner on Friday. According to an official order accessed by The Kashmiriyat, classes Nursery to 5th will have their winter vacations from December 01 and upto class 8, the vacations will begin from 12 December and from 19th December, winter vacations will commence for classes from 9th to 12th. the conclusion of the winter vacation will be on 28th February, the order read.

IED planted in mini-bus in Ramban recovered, detonated: Police

The Jammu Kashmir police on Friday claimed to have recovered and defused an Improvised Explosive Device planted in a mini-bus in Ramban district.
