Militancy funding case: Rs 29 Lakh cash recovered during multiple raids in Kashmir: SIA

State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Saturday said that Rs 29 Lakh cash was recovered by it during raids at multiple locations in Kashmir Valley in connection with alleged militant funding case. “Continuing to rein in the networks of (militant) outfits with a purpose of destroying its ecosystems completely, State Investigation Agency, Kashmir conducted searches at multiple locations across Kashmir valley,” SIA said in a statement to GNS. 35-year-old woman charred to death in Bandipora

A 35-year-old woman was charred to death in an overnight blaze at Taki Shah village of Bandipora district in northern Kashmir, officials said here on Saturday. They told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the woman identified as Naseema Begum wife of Fayaz Ahmad Khan, a resident of Taki Shah village was charred to death in an overnight fire that the fire broke out in her house and she got trapped in the fire and couldn't be rescued. The structure along with household items was completely gutted in the blaze, they said.
