The mother of incarcerated separatist leader Abdul Samad Inqalabi passed away at her residence in Ganistan Sumbal after a brief illness. Family sources said that Azeeza Begum was not keeping well for some time and she breathed her last at her house. A large number of people participated in her last rites and prayed for the departed soul. Muhammad Yousuf, the brother of Abdul Samad Inqalabi while talking to the news agency Kashmir News Trust appealed to authorities to release Inqalabi on humanitarian grounds. The Jammu Kashmir administration has planned to launch a major crackdown on the assets of Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI), militants and Over Ground Workers (OGWs) by sealing the major properties belonging to them, Daily Excelsior reported.
