In a bid to widen its reach, the Jammu Kashmir administration Saturday announced the setting up of five new police stations and two new police stations in the Srinagar district while one police post has been set up in Budgam district of Central Kashmir as well. Issues notification to define 3247 Kanals as FFR The administration of Jammu and Kashmir has set the process in motion to declare an area spreading over 3247 Kanals and 17 Marlas of land in Samba district of Jammu province as field firing range (FFR) for forces. The Union Territory’s Home department has issued two notifications, the copies of which are lying in possession of news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), to set the ball rolling for re-notification of Nandini in Samba district of Jammu province as field firing range for Army. Locals from Wani Mohalla in Rahmoo village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district protested in the village against R&B Department for allegedly failing to complete many projects. As per reports reaching here, the work on a link road was going on in Wani Mohalla, Rahmoo but it was stopped by the locals as a mark of protest. Locals alleged that the department was only concerned about the paperwork but was doing nothing on the ground. An old-aged man alleged the department has not fulfilled any of the demands of the people, whether that be a small pathway even. The work was, however, restarted after the department gave assurance to the people that the work will be completed on every project ‘very soon’ whether it would be roads, drains, and pathways.

When Fazal opened the door, he was told that the 'Sahib' (Police inspector) wanted to meet him. His son, Fareed, an 18-year-old followed him to the Police station.
