Due to fresh snowfall in Kashmir and parts of Jammu, Srinagar-Jammu national highway has been closed, while all flights have also been delayed at the Srinagar International Airport and train service from Banihal to Baramulla was also suspended. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that train service will remain suspended till snow on the railway track is removed. The fresh snowfall also disrupted flight operations at the Srinagar International Airport as all morning flights have been delayed. The weather was generally cloudy in J-K during the last 24 hours as the MeT office said on Sunday that widespread rain/snow is likely in Kashmir division and light rain in Jammu division. “Widespread rain/snow is likely in Kashmir division and light rain in Jammu division during the next 24 hours,” an official of the MeT department said. The authorities on Saturday issued a notice to National Conference district president Kulgam and former legislator from Homeshalibugh for occupying government land in LG Pora area of Anantnag district.
