The 43rd edition of FITUR, one of the largest tourism fairs in the world, got started here with King Felipe VI of Spain inaugurating the event. JK Tourism Department is participating in the five day event as an important stakeholder and part of India’s official tourism delegation. ACB arrests revenue official while accepting bribe in Ganderbal

Anti Corruption Bureau has arrested a revenue official while demanding and accepting a bribe in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal. ACB said that Tariq Ahmad Shah, posted as Patwari Halqa, Hathbura, Ganderbal was caught red handed by sleuths of anti-corruption branch of CBI Srinagar in a well laid trap while demanding and accepting bribe of rupees fifty thousand from the complainant at main town Ganderbal and tainted amount was recovered from the accused Patwari on the spot in the presence of the independent witnesses. ACB in this regard has registered a formal case vide FIR number 01/2023 under section 7 of the Prevention of corruption act, 1988.(as amended in 2018). The government's two top watchdogs have admitted to 'multiple side-effects' of COVID-19 vaccines that inoculated over a billion Indians in the past more than two years. A Delhi Court has ordered the attachment of the Hurriyat office, Srinagar in a case related to militancy funding activities in Jammu Kashmir. Additional Session Judge Shailender Malik ordered to attach the All Parties Hurriyat Conference headquarters at Raj Bagh, Srinagar. 2 IAF fighter jets crash in Madhya Pradesh, 1 pilot dead

An Indian Air Force pilot was killed after two fighter jets -- a Sukhoi Su-30 and a Mirage 2000 -- crashed near Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh on Saturday. While the two pilots on the Su-30 sustained minor injuries, the pilot on the Mirage died after being fatally wounded in the crash, India Today reported. Wreckage of the crashed aircraft was found in Bharatpur in Rajasthan and Morena in Madhya Pradesh. On Friday, the central government told the Delhi High Court that it shall seek instructions on whether any show causes notice or proceedings were commenced against VICE journalist Angad Singh for cancellation of his Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card, reported The Indian Express. As per the report, the submission was made before a single-judge bench of Justice Prathiba Singh, who was hearing Singh’s plea against Centre’s refusal to allow him to enter India.
