Four members of family found mysteriously dead in Ramban

Four members of a family were found dead under mysterious circumstances at their house in the Balihote area of Ramban district. Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Saturday morning, four members of a family were found lying unconscious at her home in the Balihote area of Ramban district. The four were taken to the hospital, where they were declared brought dead, they said. They said that the reason for the deaths was yet to be ascertained, however, initial reports suggest deaths due to asphyxiation. Details emerging.

A day after Congress Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party alleged a security lapse, Bharat Jodo Yatra resumed on Saturday from the Awantipora area of south Kashmir Pulwama district amid tight security arrangements. A man from Lasjan lost his life when a scooter he was riding on was hit by an army vehicle in Humhama area of Budgam district. Quoting an official, local news agency Kashmir Scroll reported, an accident took place at Humhuma when Army vehicle of  Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) hit one scooty, driven by Nazir Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Ramzan Bhat resident of Samarbug Lasjan. He said the said person died on the spot following which police party Humhama reached the spot and shifted posted to the hospital for legal and medical formalities. Naseer Ahmed, a resident of Pattan speaking to the media said that two affiliates of the Bhartiya Janta Party took money from him promising him a job. "Initially I was hesitant to offer them any money, but they made me meet a senior BJP leader from Baramulla at least twice. So, I thought the two were genuine people," Naseer said. Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Friday afternoon a commercial structure raised by Ghulam Hassan Khan former minister of the Jammu Kashmir government was demolished by officials as a part of the ongoing eviction drive on state land.
