Thousands rally in Mumbai, call for economic boycott of Muslims, raise questions on Dargahs

Hundreds of supporters of Hindutva under the banner of Jan Aakrosh Morcha rally marched on the streets of Vashi in Navi Mumbai on Sunday calling for the economic boycott of the Muslim community. In protest against ‘love jihad’ and ‘land jihad’, Sakal Hindu Samaj held a march in Navi Mumbai, commencing from Vashi’s Blue Diamond Chowk on Sunday. Four houses being attached in militancy case by SIU in Srinagar, Anantnag

Authorities are attaching four houses in Srinagar and Anantnag districts in connection with a militancy case, officials said on Monday. A senior police officer said that the State Investigation Unit (SIU) of police is attaching three houses at Barthana Qamarwari Srinagar and one at Sangam Anantnag. The action by the authorities was taken in connection with case (FIR no. 127/22), the officer said. The case pertains to recovery of arms and ammunition from members of TRF group, the officer.(GNS)

Former chief of Al Badr shot dead by unknown gunmen in Pakistan

Syed Khalid Raza, who formerly headed Al Badr militant outfit has been shot dead by some unidentified persons in Karachi, Pakistan. As per local media reports, Syed Khalid Raza has been shot from point-blank range in his head at the doorstep of his residence located at Block 7, Gulistan-e-Johar. Police said that the murder was related to robbery and not a targeted killing, ARY News reported. "The attackers did not take belongings after killing Raza," as per the news report. The Police said that Raza is an office-bearer of a private schools’ association. Moreover, he was the vice chairman of the Federation of Private Schools. Turkey has arrested around 200 people in connection to buildings that collapsed after the earthquakes devastated the region earlier this month. Danishwar Hameed The dead body of a youth was found under mysterious circumstances in an orchard in Guddar Herpora area of south Kashmir's Kulgam district. Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that the locals spotted the dead body of a young man lying in the orchard area of Guddar in the south Kashmir district on Sunday evening. Upon spotting the dead body, the locals informed the concerned police station who rushed to the spot and retriever the body. They said that the youth was identified as 26-year-old Adil Ahmed Khan, son of Bashir Khan, a resident of Guddar in Kulgam.
