Two residential houses were damaged in a nocturnal fire incident at Narbal area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district. An official while confirming the incident said that during night hours fire broke out due to electric short circuit in two residential double storied houses of Ali Mohammad Kaloo, son of Mohammad Sultan Kaloo and Mushtaq Ahmad Handroo, son of Abdul Wahaab Handroo both residents of Kali Mohallah Narbal. Soon after noticing the flames, locals and police reached to the spot and informed the Fire and Emergency Services department following which the fire tenders reached the spot and doused the flames. At least four persons were killed after a bus they were travelling in turned turtle at Awantipora area of south Kashmir's Pulwama district on Saturday morning. SIA raids Sarjan Barkati’s house, other locations across Kashmir

The State Investigation Agency (SIA) is carrying out raids at multiple locations in central and south Kashmir districts as part of investigation with regard to a case registered at SIA. Sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the sleuths of the investigating agency with the assistance of the local police and the CRPF carried out raids in summer capital Srinagar, Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian and other districts. He said the SIA raided the residence of Sarjan Ahmed Wagay @Barkati son of Abdul Raziq Wagay, a resident of Reben Zainapora in Shopian district. A nocturnal gunfight broke out between security forces and militants in Mitrigam area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district,. Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that a joint of team of police, Army and CRPF after receiving information about the presence of militants launched search operation in the area. They said that as the joint team of forces intensified searches, hiding militants fired upon the party, which was retaliated, triggering an encounter. As per the latest reports, no fresh firing has been reported and it is likely that the suspected militants have escaped from the spot.
