The Jammu Kashmir administration renamed the Government middle school Razloo in Kulgam after slain Police Constable Mohammad Shafi Dar. The Jammu Kashmir Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested a non-local woman for kidnapping a four-year-old child in Budgam. In a press statement, Police said, Police Station Khag received information that one lady who was begging in the village of Dalwash, Khag kidnapped a child aged about 04 years boy from a resident of Dalwash Khag. The lady concealed him under her scarf. Some women turned suspicious and informed police Station Khag. Leh resident allegedly hangs self to death in Srinagar

A man from Leh allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself to death at a local hotel in the summer capital Srinagar on Friday. An official told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that a man identified as Youtan Kunskyap son of Rinchan Nurboo, a resident of Benzom house Sakti in Leh UT allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself to death at a locmedico-legale. The body was shifted to SMHS hospital where medico legal formalities are being conducted, he said. 7 shops gutted in pre-dawn Maisuma fire incident

At least 7 shops were gutted in a pre-dawn fire incident in Maisuma market of Srinagar city. Police sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a fire broke out in a shopping complex owned by one Khurshid Ahmed Dar in which 6 shops were gutted completely while one shop suffered partial damage. The cause of the fire is being ascertained, they said. One of the affected shopkeepers said that the fire broke out at 3:30 AM that was put out by firefighters with the help of police and locals. Saudi Arabia has issued a circular to all branches of the ministry, outlining the necessary preparations for mosques and worshipers, Gulf News reported. There will be no loudspeakers, no itikaf without ID, no broadcast of prayers and no iftar inside mosques as Saudi Arabia announced a set of rules and restrictions on the practice of the holy month of Ramadan this year issued by the Saudi Ministry. A gunman believed to have been acting alone killed several people on Thursday in a Jehovah's Witness church in the German city of Hamburg, police said, as they focussed their investigation on the motive for the attack, Reuters reported.
