India lashed out at Turkey and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for raking up the issue of Jammu and Kashmir. An earthquake hit Jammu Kashmir's Bandipora region on Sunday morning. According to NCS, an earthquake of Magnitude 3.9 occurred in Bandipora district in north Kashmir with a depth of 10 KM inside the earth. As per the data, the tremors occurred at 06:57 AM IST. No damage has been reported as of yet from the earthquake.

The Jammu Kashmir Police claimed to have arrested an individual and recovered fake Indian currency notes from his possession. In a press release, Police said, a police party from Police Post Mirbazar headed by IC PP Mirbazar established a checkpoint on NHW 44 near Manigam crossing and during checking one suspicious person was signaled to stop. However, he tried to escape from the spot but was tactfully chased and apprehended by the alert party. He has been identified as Khurshid Ahmad Naik, a resident of Waripora, Kund. On world obesity day, the Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) on Saturday expressed pressing concern over the rise in the number of obesity cases among children in Kashmir valley. “Junk food and sedentary lifestyle are pushing more children towards obesity,” said DAK President Dr. Nisar ul Hassan. According to the latest survey by the National family Health Survey (NFHS-5), Kashmir has registered an increase in the percentage of obesity among children. The number of overweight children increased from 2.1 percent in NFHS-4 survey conducted in 2015-16 to 3.4 percent in NFHS -5 which was conducted in 2019-20. On Saturday, an incident of Land sinking (subsidence) was reported from the Lachampora area in Rajwar Handwara area of north Kashmir's Kupwara district.
