2 dead, 6 injured as bus turns turtle in Rajouri

Two persons died while six others were injured after a minibus turned turtle at Kewal Turn in Rajouri district on Thursday morning. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a minibus with eight passengers on board turned turtle near Kewal Turn in the district, resulting in injuries to the passengers. Block Medical Officer Kandi, Dr Iqbal Malik said that eight injured were received at Community Health Center Kandi, but two of them succumbed to injuries. He said of six injured two have been referred to GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri. Deceased have been identified as Shakil Ahmed of Kewal and Badar Hussain of Kandi—(KNO)

Danishwar Hameed Unknown burglars looted a readymade garment shop in the Laroo area of south Kashmir's Kulgam district. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that unknown burglars during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday broke into a garment shop in Kulgam's Laroo area and looted goods worth one lakh rupees from the shop. They said that the looted shop belonged to Sarmad, a resident of the Mir Bazar area. Locals appealed to the Police to intervene in the matter and find the thieves who have been on the prowl in the area. "Three shops have been looted in the Kulgam town in less than a month.
