Iltija Mufti, the daughter of former JK chief minister, Mehbooba Mufti, Friday alleged that the Regional Passport Officer (RPO) Srinagar and Criminal investigation Department (CID) branch of Jammu Kashmir Police has misled the court over the issuance of her passport. Elderly man dead, 5 injured in Pulwama road accident

An elderly man died while 5 others were injured in a road accident in south Kashmir's Pulwama district. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the accident took place in Khamri village of the district, resuting in injuries to at least 6 people. JKDMA issues avalanche warning for Kupwara district

Jammu Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (JKDMA) on Friday issued avalanche warning over higher reaches of Kupwara district in next 24 hours. The DMA, as per GNS, said that a low danger level avalanche is likely to occur above 3000 metres above sea level in Kupwara district. Policeman dies after his service rifle goes off accidently in Kupwara

A Jammu Kashmir policeman died on Friday afternoon after his service rifle went off accidentally in north Kashmir's Kupwara district, officials said. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the cop, who was posted at the residence of Bhartiya Janta Party district president Kupwara, Abdul Rehman Lone, died when his service rifle went off accidentally. He said soon after the incident he was taken to a nearby hospital, however, he was declared dead on arrival. Non-Muslim students organize iftar for Muslims in Karanataka

Students belonging to different faiths have been organizing Iftar for their Muslim friends, in Karnataka’s Bidar, reported Muslim mirror. The students at Shaheen Group of institutions, prepare plates of fruits, pakoras, and Rooh Afza, etc. on a daily basis. While the Muslim students break their fast, their non-Muslim friends serve them food and drinks. A Hindu student said that they prepare Iftar for their Muslim friends every day. “We find peace by doing this, we also want to be a part of Ramadan,” she said, adding that she feels happy seeing an environment like this. “I really feel lucky in helping Iftar for my Muslim friends,” she said, adding that the atmosphere during the Iftar presents a sense of unity.
