The Jammu Kashmir administration led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has ordered a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into illegal lease of temple properties in the Valley while Deputy Commissioners (DC) have been directed to furnish the updated inventory within a week's time. 25-year-old youth goes to riverside to rest, drowns to death in Budgam

A 25-year-old man drowned in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday evening. Locals sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that Muneer Ahmed Rather Rather son of Muhammad Sultan, a resident of Arath Budgam felt dizzy and to make himself relaxed, he went near to a local ‘Rawal Kol’ (canal) where he lost balance and drowned. Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) on Thursday said there is no need to worry about new Covid-19 variant. “There is no evidence to suggest that the new sub-variant causes more severe disease,” said DAK President and influenza expert Dr Nisar ul Hassan in a statement issued to GNS.
