Israel to bring 10,000 Indians to replace Palestinians workers

Israel is set to bring 10,000 workers from India to staff jobs in construction and nursing industries, in a sign of deepening economic and political cooperation with New Delhi, according to multiple Hebrew language news sites, reported Middle East eye. Reports say workers will arrive in stages, with 2,500 filling jobs in both construction and nursing. The final agreement for labour is still being worked out between Israeli and Indian officials. "We expect the agreements to be approved shortly, and we will soon be able to start setting up the necessary mechanisms to employ skilled labour in a proper and supervised manner,” a spokesman for the Israeli Ministry of Population and Immigration said. Schools to function from 9AM to 3 PM in Srinagar

The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) on Wednesday changed the school timing within the municipal limits of Srinagar from June-01. In an order by the director school education department, the new timing will extend to all government and private schools. “Consequent upon the approval conveyed by the Administrative Department, all government and private recognized schools within the municipal limits of Srinagar city shall observe school timings from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM w.e.f June-01,” the order said.

Body found in river Jhelum near Bijbehara, SDRF starts operation

A body was on Wednesday found floating over waters in the Jhelum River near Bijbehara in south Kashmir's Anantnag district, officials said. They told GNS that the body was sighted by non-local labourers, who intimated the authorities about it. Minor Sikh boy lynched to death by mob in Maharashtra

One Sikh boy was killed and two others wounded after they were assaulted by a mob in Maharashtra's Parbhani district, The Quint reported. Youth allegedly dies by suicide in Srinagar

Rains continue, more forecast as most places record below normal temp in J-K
