China, Turkey may skip G-20 meet in Kashmir, says report

As per a report by Hindustan Times, apart from China and Turkey who are likely to not attend G20 meeting, several G20 member states will only participate in the summit at a low level. Pertinently, the meeting is scheduled to take place in Srinagar next week. China skipped the G20 summit in Arunachal Pradesh in March, while Turkey won’t be present in Srinagar, the report said. At least three persons from Shopian were injured in a road accident in the Devsar area of south Kashmir Kulgam district on Thursday morning. Security forces have recovered a suspected Improvised Explosive Device (IED) weighing around 10 Kg and other material during a cordon and search operation in the Mendhar area of Poonch district. Majid Salam Stray dogs attacked eight persons in the Larnoo area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district. An official told The Kashmiriyat that on Wednesday some people were bitten by dogs as they passed a road at Larnoo.
