A 30-year-old student pursuing BBA from KIT college in Ruma area of the district has been allegedly assaulted by a group of B Pharma students on the college campus. A man from Budgam died after he fell down from a pole in the Humhama Chowk area of Central Kashmir Srinagar district on Sunday afternoon. An official news agency— Kashmir Scroll that an incident happened at Humhama Chowk when a person namely Nisar Ahmad Dar son of Gh Rasool Dat resident of Razeain Budgam fell down from a pole when he was pulling the cable by climbing on the pole. An earthquake shook the Kashmir valley on Sunday morning, creating panic among several residents. As per reports available to The Kashmiriyat, the jolts of the earthquake were felt in most parts of the valley around 11:20 A.M. As per initial reports, the estimated magnitude of the Earthquake was 4.9 on the Richter scale and countries including Turkmenistan, India, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, China, Afghanistan, and Kyrgyzstan were affected. The epicentre of the earthquake was towards the Tajikistan region, 26 kilomteres away from Afghanistan border.

Delhi University's Academic Council (AC) has recently approved several modifications to the syllabi, which notably involved the removal of poet and philosopher Mohd Iqbal from the BA political science curriculum, reported. Quoting officials, the report said that the chapter titled ‘Modern Indian Political Thought’ is currently included in the sixth-semester paper of the BA program.
