A lady was killed after she was hit by a train in Central Kashmir's Budgam district on Sunday afternoon. An official told the news agency— Kashmir Scroll that a lady namely Raja Bano wife of Ab Rashid Dar resident of Galvanpora Tehsil Budgam was hit by a train between Railway station Budgam and Mazhama resulting in on spot death of the said lady He said that the police party rushed to the spot and took the body for legal medico formalities while further proceedings have been taken up—(KS)

PDP president and former Jammu Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti has been issued a passport with 10-year validity, sources said on Sunday. After a prolonged legal battle in the Delhi High Court, the passport was delivered to Mehbooba. Her travel document expired in 2019 and since then she had been seeking its renewal. It came barely two days ahead of a hearing in Jammu and Kashmir High Court where Menbooba’s daughter Iltija’s plea challenging the decision of the passport office to give her a country-specific passport is to come up. A famous Biryani seller from Anantnag town was found dead at his rented accommodation in the south Kashmir town. Speaking to The Kashmiriyat a family member said that Imran Khan, originally a resident of Uttar Pradesh's Bijnoor, was found dead at a rented accommodation in Cheeni Chowk in Ananatnag district. He said that on Sunday morning the 20-year-old was found lying unconscious by his family members after which he was rushed to the Government hospital. 25-year-old man dies by suicide in Rafiabad

A 25-old-year old man died after committing suicide in Khoshipora area of Rafiabad in north Kashmir's Baramulla district. An official told news agency— Kashmir Scroll that the youth (name withheld) who is a resident of Khusipora Panzalla hung himself with a ceiling fan at his home. He was immediately rushed to him to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival. The Border Roads Organisation on Saturday said that it will complete the restoration works on Amarnath Yatra track by Jun 15 even as the Yatra is scheduled to commence from July 1. Driver found mysteriously dead inside truck in Qazigund

Danishwar Hameed A truck driver was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Dalwach area of Qazigund in south Kashmir's Kulgam district on Saturday. An official told that the man identified as Tarsem Lal son of Mashu Ram of Kathua was found hanging inside his truck. “His body has been shifted to emergency hospital Qazigund for medical and legal formalities,” he said.
