Anantnag woman on Haj passes away in Mecca

A woman from the Uranhall area in south Kashmir’s Anantnag passed away in Saudi Arabia. An official told The Kashmiriyat a local said that on Sunday, Naseema Akhtar, a resident of Anantnag’s Uranhall, who was on a Hajj pilgrimage suddenly collapsed while she was at her hotel room in Mecca. He added that Naseema was rushed to the hospital, however, she was declared brought dead upon arrival. Over 10,000 Muslims from Jammu Kashmir are on the annual pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. Taking to the micro-blogging site Twitter, Chairperson of, J-K Hajj Committee, Safina Beigh, expressed her condolences to the family.

He said no rains are expected in Kashmir till June 29, however, there may be slight showers towards the evening time of 28 and 29 June. "Weather is mostly likely to remain pleasantly dry in Kashmir on 29 June," Sonam said. Eid ul Adha will be observed in the Kashmir valley on June 29, 30 and 01 July. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday said that Armed Forces Special Power Act (AFSPA) will be removed from Jammu and Kashmir once peace returns to Jammu Kashmir Addressing a security conclave in Jammu, the defence minister said the law will be removed from J-K too. Singh said, ” While we have controlled the problem of insurgency in North East India, we have also been successful in controlling left wing extremism.
