Jammu Kashmir Police has instructed all vehicle owners to remove the tinted films from the car glasses failing which action will be initiated against the violators. “All vehicle owners are instructed to immediately remove tinted films from all glasses, failing which vehicle will be seized & legal action will follow. After a protracted legal battle, the Magray family of Ramban district visited the grave of their slain son Amir Magray in north Kashmir’s Kupwara and offered special prayers. Magray was among four people killed in Hyderpora on the outskirts of Srinagar on 15 November  2021. Police had claimed that they were militants and buried their bodies in a graveyard in Kupwara. The death toll in a suicide bombing at a political rally held by a religious party rose to 45 on Monday, officials said, an attack compounding fears of unrest ahead of a general election due later in the year. An official at a state-run rescue agency, Bilal Faizi, said the death toll had risen to 45. Of more than 130 wounded people, 61 were under treatment, said government health adviser Riaz Anwar. The bomber attacked the gathering of the conservative Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl party, which is allied with the government in the Bajaur district on Sunday in the northwest, near the border with Afghanistan. No group has claimed responsibility. A police counter-terrorism wing investigating the blast suspected the ISIS terrorist group was behind it, police said in a statement.

An army soldier allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service riffle in north Kashmir's Baramulla district on Monday officials said. They told news agency Kashmir Scroll that one soldier (name withheld) who was posted at Baramulla's Rastriya Rifle camp near Guru Nanak High School, commited suicide by shooting himself with his service riffle inside the unit. CRPF’s CoBRA to be deployed in Kashmir: Report

The Central Reserve Police Force's (CRPF) Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) is now undergoing specialized training to be deployed in Kashmir. As per a news report by Tribune, plans are underway to deploy these highly skilled commandos known for their expertise in jungle warfare against Naxals, for operations in Kashmir. The 205 CoBRA battalion, currently stationed in Bihar where Naxal activities have been diminishing, is being prepared for anti-militancy operations in the Kashmir region. They will soon be shifted to the conflict-prone area to bolster security forces' capabilities, said the report.

Eight persons including 4 non-local militants and 3 infiltrators were killed in July this month in Jammu and Kashmir. In the first seven months of the current year, 46 people have been killed in militancy-related incidents. These include 10 civilians, 23 infiltrators, 4 non-local militants, 8 local militants and 11 soldiers.
