In Jammu Kashmir nearly eight lakh youth registered at Directorate of Employment are unemployed including two lakh educated individuals. The news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) has learnt that at least 1,99,872 educated youth were unemployed till May-31-2023. Three non-locals have been shot at by suspected militants in the Gagren area of Shopian district in south Kashmir. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Thursday evening, militants fired upon three non-locals at the Shopian's Gagren area causing injuries to the trio. A woman who was rescued by locals after she allegedly jumped into river Jhelum at New Zainakadal bridge succumbed on Thursday afternoon. Sources told news agency Kashmir Scroll that an old aged woman name (withheld) resident of Kailashpora was rescued by locals after she allegedly tried to end her life by jumping into river Jhelum on Ist July. Students numbered in dozens on Thursday gathered outside the University campus on Thursday and said that they were being charged higher fees in comparison with the CUK campus Jammu and provided lesser facilities. Dead body of youth found in Bandipora, investigation launched

Shah Basit The dead body a youth from Bandipora was found in Gamroo area of Bandipora in north Kashmir. Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Thursday morning, locals spotted a body near the bridge in Gamroo, following which they informed the police.
