The Jammu Kashmir police on Sunday claimed that they have brought ex militants and erstwhile separatists to Police Station in Srinagar. Reports said that the detained persons had arranged a get-together at a hotel in Srinagar. “A Search was conducted on basis of credible info about meeting of some ex-trts of JKLF & erstwhile separatists in a hotel in Srinagar.They were brought to Kothibagh PS for verification,” said Srinagar Police in a tweet. After two days of suspension due to inclement weather, Amarnath Yatra resumed on Sunday in the Kashmir Valley. Bodies of two drowned Army men recovered in Poonch

The body of the missing soldier was recovered and with this search operation for two army personnel who were washed away and drowned in a river in Surankote in this district concluded on Sunday. Official sources told GNS that two soldiers went missing while crossing a river near Dogra Surankote on Saturday afternoon. Soon after the information, the army and Police launched a rescue operation. The body of one of them, Naib Subedar Kuldip Singh was recovered last evening while searches for another were resumed this morning. After hectic searches, they said, the body of the missing soldier Lance Naik Telu Ram was also recovered.
