The Kanpur Police registered FIRs against 40 unidentified persons for offering namaz on the streets on the occasion of Eid ul Adha despite a government direction against doing so, officials informed on Saturday. As per the police, they are trying to identify those involved with the help of photographs, videos and an investigation in underway in the matter. A 23-year-old girl on Monday allegedly committed suicide at her home in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. Sources told news agency Kashmir Scroll that a 23-year-old (name withheld), a resident of the Krashivan Colony Sopore allegedly committed suicide at her home. “She was immediately rushed to the Sub-District Hospital Sopore where doctors declared her brought dead,” they said.
