An encounter has started between security forces and militants in Gundhikhwas Rajouri area of Jammu division officials said. Officials told news agency—the Kashmir Scroll that security forces received information about the presence of militants in the Rajouri area in the Jammu division. ” Teams of police and army rushed to the spot after this information at the entire area has been cordoned,” the official said, adding that the firing is going on between two sides and it is believed that more than two militants are trapped in the area. A 25-year-old youth died due to an electric shock while working at an under-construction private aquaculture farm in the Akhal Kangan area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district. The deceased has been identified as Ubaid Mushtaq Dar, a resident of Palhalan Pattan area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district. Official sources said that the victim was busy erecting an electric pole when he received an electric shock. He fell into the waterbody and was immediately shifted to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The victim was doing labor at a fish farm owned by a private individual. Mild earthquake tremors were felt across the Kashmir valley on Saturday afternoon. As per initial reports, the earthquake was felt across various parts of the Valley with a magnitude of 5.2 and its epicenter in Pakistan. The earthquake happened around 8:34 A.M on Saturday.
