Kathua: Teacher allegedly assaults student for writing ‘Jai Shri Ram’ on blackboard

A teacher was arrested on Saturday for allegedly thrashing a student who wrote "Jai Shri Ram" on a blackboard in Kathua. As per news reports, the teacher Farooq Ahmed entered the classroom to find Jai Shri Ram slogan written on the blackboard. "When he saw the slogan, he enquired and upon finding a student had written it, he started assaulting the student," reports said. Later, he allegedly took the student to the Principal Mohammad Hafiz's room, where the two beat the student mercilessly. As per Police the teacher, Mohammad Farooq, has been arrested.
