A teenage boy was injured in a thread-cutter attack by an unidentified person in Qamaria Park, located in central Kashmir's Ganderbal district, officials said. As reported by KNO, a scuffle erupted between two individuals, during which an unidentified youth used a thread-cutter to attack the teenager, resulting in injuries to the victim. An official said, "The police team from the Ganderbal police station swiftly arrived at the scene, recovering the offensive weapon." A case has been registered in connection with this incident, and ongoing investigations are in progress, the official said.

A youth from Pulwama was arrested by Police for promoting "anti-national" content on social media. Police in a statement said that Police Station Litter arrested a man for running a social media account with the name “Pulwama News” wherein he posted videos and pictures of militants killed in the Kokernag encounter. "This account was created to promote the activities of the militants and spread fear among the general public, which posed a severe threat to the unity, integrity and sovereignty of the country," Police said. The accused has been identified as Ashiq Ahmed Khan son of Bashir Ahmed Khan, a resident of Niloora in Pulwama. FIR vide the number 98/2023 has been registered at Police Station in Litter Pulwama under the relevant sections of law, Police said.

A woman was allegedly hammered to death by her husband in Mendhar area in Poonch district, officials said. They told GNS that one Gazanfar Bi (55), wife of Mohammad Khalil, resident of Ari was found in a pool of blood at her house today. "She has been prima-facie allegedly hammered on head by her husband", they said. "A police team reached the site and took the body to a nearby hospital", they said. Meanwhile, a police official told GNS that they have arrested the accused alongwith weapon of offence and also registered a case in this regard for further investigations. The Desh Bhagat University had enrolled nursing students over and above the prescribed number of seats in the colleges.
