‘No external injury’: 75-year-old man from Sikh community found dead in Tral

A 75- year- old Kashmiri Sikh was found dead in a paddy field in the Tral area of Pulwama. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that on Friday evening, Karan Singh, 75, was found lying unconscious in his paddy field in the Kangloora area of Pulwama. The locals rushed Karan to the hospital, where he was declared brought dead upon arrival. Meanwhile, Police also rushed to the spot after they received an information that a dead body of a person is lying in the paddy fields of Kangloora Tral. Postmortem was conducted on the body, the details of which are awaited, Police said. "Initial examination reveals that there are no external injuries on dead body. The FSL inspection,  scrutiny & crime scene photography has been done," they told The Kashmiriyat.

The Jammu and Kashmir High Court has directed the High-Level Committee established to examine the operation of the Jammu Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) to submit its findings within ten days. After hearing an argument, a panel led by Justice Moksha Khajuria Kazmi ordered the JKSSB not to move further with the hiring process for the different positions it had advertised. A daily wager lineman sustained grave injuries after receiving an electric shock in south Kashmir Kulgam district's Chatabal area on Friday morning. As per locals, the lineman had ascended the pole and was doing his work when he received an electric shock and fell on the ground, resulting in grave injuries to him. He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where he is currently being treated and critical condition and shifted to SKIMS. The injured has been identified as Mohammad Amin Itoo, who has two sons, a daughter, and a wife, who has been bed-ridden for two years due to a tumor, the locals said.
