Army man injured in landmine blast on LoC

An army man was severely injured in a landmine blast along Line of Control in Rajouri district, officials said on Wednesday. Officials said that Naik Dheeraj Kumar Magrati, was injured after he accidentally stepped on a landmine, while on a patrolling duty in the forward area of LoC in the Nowshera sector. The injured army man was airlifted to Northern Command hospital Udhampur for immediate treatment, they further said. (GNS)

The Jammu Kashmir admin has done away with the provision of preparing waiting lists for recruitment in government services. The administration on Tuesday repealed the rules mandating recruiting agencies to draw a waiting list for filling dropout vacancies for each job test. As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the General Administration Department (GAD) today issued three separate notifications to repeal the rules mandating recruiting agencies like Public Service Commission, Services Selection Board to prepare a wait list, in addition to select list. Youth found mysteriously dead in Srinagar’s Maloora

A youth was found dead mysteriously under a car in Maloora area of central Kashmir's Srinagar district on Wednesday, officials said. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the body of the youth identified as Mohd Asif Khan, son of Ashiq Ahmad Khan of Pattan, was found under a vehicle near JK Bank Maloora. He said that upon discovering the body, locals promptly informed the police and the body has was taken to hospital for medico-legal formalities.
