Drug peddler arrested with contraband substance in Bijbehara: Police

Jammu Kashmir police in said that it arrested a drug peddler in Bijbehara Anantnag and recovered drugs from his possession. Police party from Police Station Bijbehara, headed by SHO Bijbehara, Rashid Ahmed Khan, arrested a drug peddler and recovered about 36.500 Kgs of Charas powder from his possession. He has been identified as Shakeel Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Arwani Bijbehara. He has been arrested and shifted to police station where he will remain in custody. Government constitutes tribunal to review ban over Shabir Shah’s JKDFP

The Government of India has constituted a tribunal headed by Justice Sachin Datta, Judge, High Court of Delhi to decide whether there is sufficient cause for declaring the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) as an unlawful association. In a notification, a copy of which is in possession of news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the Ministry of Home Affairs(MHA) has set-up a tribunal headed by Justice Sachin Datta, Judge, High Court of Delhi to for the purpose of adjudicating whether or not there is sufficient cause for banning JKDFP headed by jailed Kashmiri separatist Shabir Shah.
