Mobile internet suspended in parts of Pulwama

Mobile internet has been suspended in parts of Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir for security reasons, officials said on Tuesday. Directions to the Telecom Service Providers to suspend mobile data services in Wampora and Hunipora areas of the south Kashmir district were issued by Vijay Kumar, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Kashmir Zone, the officials said. The ADGP'S order mentions the possibility of mobile data services being misused by anti-national elements, which may cause deterioration in public order, the officials added. The Telecom Service Providers were directed to suspend mobile data within three km radius of these areas from 7 pm on November 5 till 7 pm on November 8, the officials said.–(PTI)

Tourist vehicle skids, overturns in Gulmarg market all safe

A tourist vehicle carrying a group of tourists experienced a hand brake failure, resulting in the vehicle skidding and overturning in Gulmarg health resort in north Kashmir's Baramulla district. Reports reaching News Agency Kashmir Scroll that in the incident, none of the tourists sustained serious injuries during the incident. Reports further added that quick and efficient response by authorities ensured the immediate evacuation of all the tourists from the scene. They were promptly transported to the Primary Health Center in Gulmarg for a thorough medical checkup. Three dead, several injured in Rajouri road accident

Three persons died while several others were injured in a road accident in Rajouri district on Monday. An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that one Tempo Traveller vehicle bearing registration number JK02AB-3355 on its way from Koteranka towards Rajouri met with an accident at Palma. In the incident, several persons received injuries among them three succumbed to injuries while others are being shifted to hospital for treatment.
