One dead after hit by CRPF vehicle in Srinagar

One youth died after a bike was hit by a CRPF vehicle at Baghat Chowk area of central Kashmir Srinagar district on Saturday afternoon. The two wheeler bearing the registration number JK01 AM 4913 was hit by a CRPF vehicle near Chinar chowk in Srinagar after which locals rushed to the spot to help the injured rider. The injured, however, succumbed on the spot. 28-year-old missing Hajin man found dead

A 28-year-old missing sumo driver of north Kashmir's Hajin was found dead on Saturday, sources said. Sources told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that the dead body of Manzoor Ahmad Khan, son of Late Nazir Ahmad Khan of Paribal Hajin, who had been missing since last week, was recovered from the river Jehlum today morning. Sources said that the body was found by locals at Nechyari Jhelum. As many as 128 people have been reported dead, and 141 injured, after a 6.4 magnitude earthquake jolted west Nepal late on Friday. According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre, the earthquake with an epicentre in Jajarkot district was recorded at 11:47 pm. As per reports as of 3am on Saturday, Jajarkot and West Rukum have dealt the most damage, with 92 deaths in Jajarkot alone, said Deputy Superintendent of Police of Jajarkot district Santosh Roka.
