Israel dropped 18,000 tons of bombs on Gaza, 1.5 times more than on Hiroshima

The Israeli army has dropped 18,000 tons of bombs on the Gaza Strip since Oct.7, or about 1.5 times the explosive force of the bomb dropped on Hiroshima, Japan in World War II, according to officials in the besieged enclave. Speaking to the press, Salama Marouf, head of the government’s media office, said Israeli forces have also destroyed 85 government buildings in Gaza, adding: “In Gaza, Israel has demolished 47 mosques and inflicted significant harm to three churches. The attacks have resulted in over 200,000 damaged buildings, with 32,500 of them rendered uninhabitable, 203 schools have sustained major damage, and 45 schools are now completely non-operational. 20.8% people in Jammu Kashmir using tobacco, sixth highest: Officials

Jammu Kashmir is the sixth State/UT in the country to have a high prevalence of tobacco use as over 20 percent of the population is indulging in tobacco consumption, officials said. Talking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Dr Mir Mushtaq, State Nodal Officer (Kashmir Division), National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP) said the prevalence of smoking tobacco in J&K is 20.8 percent, which is the sixth highest in the country after Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Meghalaya and Mizoram. The prevalence of smokeless tobacco is the lowest in the country that is 4.3 percent after Himachal Pradesh, he said. The price of commercial LPG gas cylinders has been hiked by 101 rupees across India, impacting both businesses and consumers. Starting from November 1, the retail price of the 19 Kg commercial LPG gas cylinder in Delhi will increase by Rs 101, reaching a new rate of Rs 1833 per cylinder, according to official sources.
