Jammu Kashmir Police on Wednesday claimed to have recovered arms and ammunition from two Kupwara residents in central Kashmir's Srinagar district. A top police officer told GNS that arms and ammunition, including eight grenades and two pistols, were recovered from two Kupwara residents during a checking at Bemina bypass. A case has been registered in this regard at the nearest police station for further investigations, the officer added. (GNS)

The police in Jammu city on Tuesday claimed to have busted a gambling network in the city and arrested five individuals involved in the crime. A senior police officer told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that, acting on specific information, a raid was conducted at a prominent hotel on Residency Road. The officer said that a team of police headed by SHO apprehended six gamblers on the spot.
