The consumer pointed out gross negligence and deficiency in service at the J&K Bank Branch in Devsar, where the "illegal" withdrawal of Rs 10,000 was facilitated through online transactions from her account. Sara Banoo, the complainant, held a savings bank account with Jammu Kashmir Bank at the Devsar branch in Kulgam district, from which the money was withdrawn. Following the recent extension of Scheduled Tribe (ST) status to the Pahari people and other communities in Jammu Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha reiterated that the existing reservation benefits for Gujjar and Bakerwal communities would remain unaffected.
