Suhail Dar A woman from the Batengoo area of Anantnag has died due to medical negligence. Lateefa Arshad, aged 37, was mother to three children. She died at the Government Medical College Anantnag, according to family. Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, one of the family members of the deceased, mentioned the details of the incident. "Lateefa was taken to the GMC Anantnag at 5:30 P.M. as she required immediate medical attention, however, no doctors were available at the hospital," claimed the family member. He said that the attendants of Lateefa were being shuffled between different medical wards while her condition kept worsening. A sting operation conducted by senior Kashmiri journalist Sajad Muniwari revealed that the doctor, whose prescription letters reads that Dr. Gulzar holds an MBBS and an MD degree from PGI Chandigarh, and also claims that the said doctor was a senior gastroenterologist, turned out to be a bogus doctor.
