Govt orders cease on private practice by doctor in Kashmir

The Government has ordered a cease on private practice by Dr. Ishtiyaq Abdullah, Assistant Professor, Department of Orthopaedics, Government Medical College, Baramulla anywhere in Jammu Kashmir. “Based on the findings of State Anti Fraud Unit (SAFU) regarding violations of Standard Treatment Guidelines (STGs) of State Health Agency, J&K and other standing instructions, it is hereby ordered that Dr. Ishtiyaq Abdullah, Assistant Professor, Department of Orthopaedics, Government Medical College, Baramulla shall, with immediate effect, cease to indulge in any private practice across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir,” Secretary to government, H&ME department Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah said order, a copy of which lies with GNS. The Jammu and Kashmir State Council of Educational Research and Training (JKSCERT) Saturday postponed examination of all papers of 8th standard except for the english subject. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) Joint Director Central for JKSCERT said that the postponement was announced in view of the representations from various quarters for in the UT of J&K. Employee serving for 7 years cannot be denied regularization: High Court

The High Court of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh has ruled that individuals working temporarily for over seven years are entitled to regularization benefits under relevant regulations. Justice Sanjeev Kumar, addressing a petition from a university employee, granted retrospective regularization as a Security Guard from April 1, 2005, with all associated benefits. The petitioner, Ghar Singh, argued in his plea that although his services were regularized in 2010, he should have been regularized immediately after completing seven years of service in 2004 as per the applicable regulations.
