Rayees Shah A tourist died and another was rescued after the duo was left trapped in a snow cavity at Thajwas glacier in Sonamarg. 3 Tourists dead, five injured in Qazigund road mishap

Danishwar Hameed At least eight tourists were injured in a road accident at Nipora area of Qazigund in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday afternoon., An official told The Kashmiriyat that a scorpio bearing registration number PB47F 8687 collided a tree at Nipora area of Qazigund on Srinagar-Jammu national highway road, resulting in injuries to eight tourists. The injured were immediately taken to nearby hospital for treatment where two among them is said to be in critical condition. Three of them succumbed to their injuries, hospital officials told The Kashmiriyat. Incharge Police Post Mirbazar, Toser Ahmed Khan also confirmed the incident and said case has been registered and further investigation has been taken up in this regard.
