Minor boy drowns while taking bath in Anantnag

Suhail Dar A minor boy tragically drowned while bathing in Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district. An official told The Kashmiriyat that on Tuesday a boy identified as Mohammed Salim (9), son of Ghulam Mohammad Ganie from Hassanpora, drowned in the river Vishow while taking a bath. A rescue operation was launched immediately after the incident, and his body was later recovered from the river. The police have taken cognizance of the incident.

Three tourists including two women were killed while a kid sustained critical injuries after a vehicle they were traveling in met with an accident at tourist resort Sonamarg falling under the jurisdiction of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, officials said. Official sources told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that a Tata Sumo (JK13B-9912) on its way to Zero-Point from Sonamarg skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge near Panimatha spot – located between Bajri Nallah and Captain Mode. “There were 4 passengers on board.
