Apni Party has suffered another major blow after Noor Mohammad Sheikh, a former Member of the Legislative Assembly for Batamaloo and District President of Srinagar for the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party resigned from the party. Sheikh has confirmed his resignation from Apni party led by Altaf Bukhari. Previously affiliated with the People's Democratic Party (PDP) before joining the Apni Party, Sheikh's departure adds to the series of high-profile defections impacting the party. This resignation follows that of Usman Majid, a senior vice president and founding member of the Apni Party, further destabililzing the party.

Authorities have halted the departure of a new batch of Amarnath Yatra pilgrims from the Bhagwati Nagar base camp to Kashmir as a precaution due to the fifth anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370, officials said. So far this year, over 4.90 lakh pilgrims have visited the 3,880-metre-high cave shrine. “The yatra has been paused for today, and no new groups were permitted to travel from Jammu to Kashmir,” an officer informed PTI. Suhail Dar Eleven persons have been injured in a road accident in the Bijbehara area of south Kashmir's Anantnag district. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that on Sunday morning, a suno vehicle collided with another vehicle bearing the registration number JK 12 C 8406 causing injuries to eleven persons on the Srinagar Jammu National highway near Anantnag's Bijbehara. They said that the injured were rushed by locals and Police to the Sub district hospital Bijbehara. Shabir Khan  A Santro car skidded off the road and fell into a nallah at Vigibal Bridge, injuring three persons in the north Kashmir area. Officials told The Kashmiriyat that the accident occurred on Sunday morning, and emergency services quickly responded. The injured have been identified as Waseem Bashir, 35, from Maharajpora Sopore, Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir from Chackrodi Khan Sopore and Sameer Ahmad Dar, 35, from Batapora Haji Gilgit. Danishwar Hameed One person died and three persons were injured in a tragic road accident in Kulgam district of south Kashmir. An official told The Kashmiriyat that on Saturday afternoon, two motorcycles collided in the Zazipora area of Kulgam district which caused injuries to all four riders.
