Rain, thundershowers expected in parts of Kashmir: MeT

The Meteorological Centre in Srinagar issued an advisory on Friday, forecasting rain, thundershowers, and gusty winds in several areas of Jammu Kashmir over the next three hours. According to the advisory, the affected regions include Tanghdar, Uri, Kupwara, Handwara, Baramulla, Gulmarg, Poonch, parts of Badgam, Anantnag, Qazigund, Kokernag, Kulgam, Banihal, as well as areas in Rajouri and Reasi. Jammu Kashmir roads continue to claim lives as more than 400 people have lost lives in road accidents till June while over 3000 got injured. As per the figures available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), as many as 417 people have lost lives due to road accidents in the first six months of the ongoing year.
