Danishwar Hameed A residential house and a cowshed were gutted in a late night fire in the Kulgam district of south Kashmir. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that on Sunday night flames emerged from a residential house in Kawpora of Ashmuji area of Kulgam and quickly spread to the nearby structures. A house and two cowsheds owned by Abdul Aziz Dar were gutted. Fire tenders with the help of locals along with Police brought the fire under control.

A gunfight has erupted between militants and security forces in the Chatroo region of Kishtwar district, according to officials.
