The incident occurred at around 1:00 PM. The victim, identified as Momin Ahmad Dar, son of Riyaz Ahmad Dar, was reportedly attacked by Arslan Aijaz, the ex-boyfriend of Dar's girlfriend, according to a police statement. "Preliminary reports suggest jealousy as the motive behind the attack. Dar was stabbed in the abdomen and head and was rushed to SMHS Hospital. His condition is stable," the police said. In a handout to GNS, the police said that in a major operation against drug trafficking, Baramulla Police seized 2,695 grams of heroin worth 20 crores and arrested three key figures of a heroin smuggling ring. Acting on credible intelligence, a police team detained Nazim Din, son of Alim Din Tass, from Zamboor Pattan Uri, aged 28, during a surprise naka at NHW Khanpora on October 21, 2024. At least 26 nursing students were injured, with two in critical condition, after a passenger vehicle met with an accident in the Farna Magjote area of Udhampur district on Tuesday. Officials reported that the accident occurred when a passenger Matador, bearing registration number JK02S-4087, lost control due to overspeeding and rolled down the road. A student was injured after being attacked at SP College Bund in Srinagar today. Hospital sources at SMHS Hospital confirmed to Kashmir News Trust that the victim, identified as Muhammad Moomin, a resident of Nai Sarak Srinagar, was brought to the hospital with a head injury inflicted by a sharp object. Hospital sources added that Moomin's condition is stable and receiving treatment. Prima facie it seems the student was attacked with a knife after an altercation between two groups.
