Police on Tuesday said that in a decisive step against narcotics trafficking, Police have attached the property of a known drug trafficker, under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district. In a handout to GNS, the police said that Mohammad Ashraf Dar, son of Jalal-Ud-Din and resident of Tulkhan Bijbehara, has a history of offenses under the NDPS Act, with several cases involving the trafficking of substances like Codeine Phosphate, Charas, and Spasmo Proxyvan Plus. One unidentified militant has been killed in an overnight gunfight in Lolab Forests in North Kashmir's Kupwara district on Wednesday. Official sources told GNS that one militant has been killed in an operation which commenced yesterday late evening. The operation in the area is still underway.
