Gunshots heard during CASO in Sopore area

Some gunshots were heard during cordon and search operation in Sagipora area of North Kashmir’s Sopore on Thursday evening. A top police officer told that on a specific input a cordon and search operation was launched in Sagipora by a joint team of Police and army this evening. A Border Security Forces trooper shot himself to death with his rifle in Bobiya area in Kathua district on Thursday afternoon. An official told News Vibes of India that a trooper of 159 Battalion BSF, who was currently undergoing AMR Handling Course with 82 Bn BSF at Bobiya, shot himself with his rifle.
