
The National Family Health Survey -5 has revealed that with 23.7 percent Jammu Kashmir has the third-highest number of cars after Goa and Kerala. Goa has 45.2 percent of the total households that possess cars.
The figures place Jammu Kashmir at the second-highest spot of people in possession of cars, while Bihar stands at the bottom of the list with 2 percent.
India overall has a total of 7.5 percent of the population that possesses cars, according to the Survey.
Another survey by Stats of India showed that around 16 percent of the total population in India owns three appliances, Television, Fridge and Refrigerator.
In Jammu Kashmir, the survey stated, more than 41.5 percent of the households owned all three appliances while in Uttar Pradesh the number was at 15.7 percent.
The region stood above Maharashtra, Karnataka, West Bengal, and Madhya Pradesh.
