
The home department of Jammu Kashmir on their official website has updated an order on Wednesday stating that 2G services will remain in place till August 19, At least.

The order number Home-89 (TSTS) of 2020 dated 29.07.2020 has specifically mentioned the need to control the Militant activities, misinformation and the need to stop youth from being misguided. The Home Department has said that the the ban of internet services “in specific areas” for “specific time” for conducting smooth Anti Militancy operations.
The Supreme court of India on Tuesday said that it will verify the statements of Lieutenant Governor, Murmuru who said that the administration of Jammu Kashmir had no problems if the high speed (4G) services were restored in Jammu Kashmir.
