Three residential houses were gutted in a fire incident in the Shopian district of south Kashmir.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that on Monday morning a massive blaze emerged from the house Bashir Ahmed, which later spread to nearby houses in the Adijan area of Shopian.
Locals along with fire brigade personnel reach to the spot to control the fire, however, the fire could not be brought under control before at least three houses had been damaged.
Four families belonging to Bashir Ahmed Dar, Ghulam Ahmed Khan, Fayaz Ahmed Dar, Mohammed Abdullah Dar living in these houses have forced to live under open skies.
Locals appealed to the admin to provide relief to the victim families.
Fire incidents have been on a rise in the valey with the recent months seeing a massive spike in the fire related incidents.
