Moulana Kaiser Attari, a young religious cleric from Budgam died in a road accident in the Budgam district of central Kashmir.
Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, one of his close aides said that Kaiser Ahmed Attari (30), a resident of Fraw Ganderbal met an accident near Bonibagh when he was on the way to his home after delivering a Friday sermon at a mosque in Kangan.
The cleric was driving his Alto car when it met an accident, after which he was rushed to the nearby hospital.
He succumbed to his injuries near Iftar time, his aide said.
Kaiser Attari, who ha graduated from Idara Tehqiqat e Islami, one of the primary religious institutes of the Kashmir valley got married nearly ten months back after which he shifted to Ganderbal.
The 30-year-old cleric has spent nearly five years leading prayers at various mosques in south Kashmir and recently shifted to central Kashmir where he had been leading Friday prayers.
“During his days in south Kashmir when he led prayers at local mosques, Kaiser spent his time in a small room praying and reading as much as he could, he had limited needs and did not ever demand money for his sermons,” he said.
Known for his kind behaviour and immense knowledge, many social media users who offered prayers under him expressed grief over his untimely death.
