The Valedictory Function of 32nd National Road Safety Month was held today in Transport Yard Harnag Anantnag in which a large number of Sumo and heavy vehicle drivers participated.
On the occasion, the drivers were provided awareness regarding the safety measures and safe driving besides their ophthalmic check up was also done.
ADC Anantnag, Gulzar Ahmad Bhat presided over the event as the Chief Guest and distributed helmets and fitness certificates among the specially abled Scooty Riders and sumo drivers respectively.
In his speech, the ADC advised the drivers for strict adherence to the safe driving measures and rules for the safety of the passengers and vehicles. He also emphasised on the importance of such progaram and directed the MVD Anantnag to conduct awareness program on regular basis.

Appreciating the efforts of MVD Anantnag for educating the stakeholders about safety measures and safe driving, he called for joint efforts to minimize the incidence of road mishaps.
A series of program were organized during the ceremony including a live transmission of Honble LG’s address that was keenly watched by the audience besides a Fitness Mela for the vehicles.
