Clashes erupted in Pulwama town in South Kashmir on Monday as scores of youth hit the streets.
Eyewitnesses told The Kashmiriyat that, The youth were demanding the special status of Kashmir to be safeguarded, when some youth started throwing stones on Forces deployed in the area.
The Police in retaliation fired tear smoke shells upon the protesters, as per eyewitnesses, to disperse them.
The clashes were going on when this report was filed.
